Where Does It Go?

As a Nashville resident, I understand the concerns that many people have about the lack of support for sustainable community solutions in our city. One of the most pressing issues is the availability and accessibility of recycling drop-off sites.

Fortunately, Metro Nashville offers 4 Convenience Centers and 10 Recycling Drop-off sites across the county. These sites provide a convenient way for residents to dispose of excess residential trash, recyclables, compostables, and other waste items that are not accepted in our curbside trash and recycling program.

It's important to note that residents are limited to 2 visits per day, and vehicles with commercial tags will not be allowed to enter. Commercial waste materials will not be accepted at these sites.

For those looking to recycle, the Recycling Drop-off Locations are open to all Metro residents to recycle Paper & Cartons, Cardboard, Food & Drink Cans, Plastic Bottles, Jars & Jugs, and Glass Jars & Bottles. It's important to place recycling loose in recycling bins and separate recycling by category according to the signage on site.

To make things even easier, Nashville's Waste and Recycling App offers a Waste Wizard feature that allows users to look up what can and cannot be recycled in Nashville. Curbside recycling customers can also view their collection schedule and sign up for recycling day reminders using the Calendar feature.

But recycling isn't just about convenience and accessibility. It's also about creating a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable future for all. That's why organizations like Recycle And Reinvest are working to bridge the gap between trash and crime by promoting sustainability and providing job opportunities.

Whether you're passionate about community engagement, seeking employment in the sustainability industry, or creating memorable nature experiences for children, there are resources available to help you make a difference. Together, we can create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Nashville.

The Website below will provide you with exact locations with 24 hours availabilty.
