THE ORIGIN STORY OF B.4.L
From a street hip-hop movement to a transformative hip-hop music program, our organization has been dedicated to bridging the gap between trash and crime in underserved communities. Recognizing the power of music as an agent of change, we have reimagined the street culture and channeled it into an innovative program called BANG 4 LIBERATION that empowers and uplifts the youth.
By harnessing their artistic talents and providing them with a supportive platform, we enable them to break free from negative influences and cultivate their skills in a positive environment. Through this transition, we strive to inspire and guide the next generation, closing the gap between despair and opportunity, and paving the way for a brighter future.
BANG 4 LIBERATION
HIP - HOP IS HEALTHY
BANG 4 LIBERATION is a 10-week eco-conscious program that is an engaging and transformative experience designed specifically for youth. Through this program, we aim to promote healthy living and eating by instilling positive habits and sustainable practices.
It is a revolutionary platform for creating open and constructive dialogue around sustainability and environmental inequality. This program empowers young individuals to become catalysts for change, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to create a more eco-conscious future.

B.4.L OBJECTIVES

Critical Thinking – students look at and analyze what is not sustainable in their community’s environment, society, and economy
​
Digital Literacy – through the creation of music, video, and promotion and amplification of both, students expand their experience in the digital realm
​
Problem-Solving – students work together to find solutions and figure out how to inspire and facilitate positive change.
​
Leadership – learn how to use art to inspire positive change in their community
​
Science – students learn about the climate crisis and its impact on the environment, society, and economy
​
English – students gain experience in creative writing and expression
​
Math – students learn fractions, patterns, and mathematical values through songwriting
​
Collaboration – students work together to uncover and articulate their vision for their future

B.4.L MUSIC & ART PROGRAM
In our ever-evolving world, it is crucial to instill in our youth a deep understanding and appreciation for environmental sustainability.
The "B.4.L" program aims to do exactly that by merging the power of music, specifically Hip-Hop, with eco-consciousness.
Over the course of 10 weeks, this program brings together students from grades 6 to 12 to explore, learn, create, and spread awareness about environmental issues in a fun and engaging way.
