Recycle & Reinvest addresses neighborhood-level environmental burden, including illegal dumping, solid waste accumulation, land degradation, heat stress, and exposure to transportation-related air pollution—through community-led education, environmental stewardship, and leadership development in Nashville’s most impacted neighborhoods (37208, 37207, 37206, 37210,37218), most of Davidson County.
Our approach to Recycling is to break the cycle of environmental harm in Black and Brown neighborhoods and reinvest in leadership pathways and community resources that turn those challenges into opportunities and empowerment.

Involving young readers cultivates the next generation of environmental advocates, equipping them with knowledge and skills to lead communities toward sustainability.

At the heart of our work is Soil Soldiers, our youth leadership program for justice impacted youth in the most heavily policed neighborhoods in Nashville.
